Diotima Aranea Mary Eileen Duigan Starn is a surly, thirteen-year-old second-year with a big nose, a big mouth, and a bad attitude.
She is the only remaining living child of Septimus Starn (seventhsnake) and her mother was a Traveller witch from Ireland. She is not at all sure she likes any of this fancy stuff, and in her own words, it's not your problem.
Her journal is kept in Shelta Thari, the language of the Travellers. Good luck with that.
